Sandhill Cranes Visit Smoky Pond

A group of Sandhill Cranes A group of mature Sandhill Cranes found their way to Smoky Pond this year. During their visit, some of them carried on with a loud and fanciful mating ritual. It was exciting to watch. Pictures of the birds and the dance are in our gallery.
