Gordon H. Adler is seen walking towards the house in this picture. Note the steer grazing across the road from the house. The Adlers leased 100 acres from the Newberry estate for their herd of steer.
The large sugar maple tree in front of the house is still standing. The smaller sugar maple to the right also grew to be quite large. Unfortunately, a heavy wind brought it down in 2007.
